Founded in 2024, Hachiko was created by industry experts with extensive experience in distributed energy project development, battery optimisation, and energy trading. The platform is purpose-built to handle the complex technical and commercial realities of managing distributed batteries at scale.

Founder & CEO
Rakhesh is a chemical engineer turned energy market and technology expert, with over 15 years’ experience in distributed energy, project development, market operations, and technology licensing.
Having worked on both buyer and seller sides in distributed portfolio operation across multiple international markets, his approach combines a pragmatic commercial perspective and relentless customer focus backed by deep technical and regulatory expertise.
He founded Hachiko to deliver the software solution he wished had existed to solve problems he identified over his many years in distributed energy, including as a portfolio operator. He is thrilled to be bringing sophisticated investors, developers, and traders a truly purpose-built and forward-looking portfolio management product that caters to their unique challenges in an ever-evolving market.
Jonas Dias

Jonas is a data scientist, machine learning specialist, and technical leader with a PhD in Data Science and Computer Engineering. With over a decade of experience in optimisation and advanced analytics, he applies cutting-edge AI to maximise battery performance and revenue.
At Hachiko, he ensures that every battery is constantly learning and adapting with a view to delivering upsized returns for its owner, turning raw data into smarter decisions that maximise revenue across every market with a highly configurable optimisation engine built for sophisticated users.

Sebastian is an accomplished software engineer and technical leader with nearly 20 years’ experience across multiple sectors.
At Hachiko, he leads a team of engineers to deliver software components across our varied technology stack, driving product quality through modern software engineering principles and best practices.
